Wow! A blog! I've never posted to an online journal before. Come to think of it, I've never even had a hard copy journal. Well, there was that little pink diary during my pre-teen years. You know the type, with that little lock and key to keep out pesky siblings. Of course, then you would come up with a hiding place for the key that was so fantastic, even you couldn't find it! My brother was always trying to get into my diary (like there was anything worthwhile to read in there) and thus, I hid my key real well. I actually cut the strap off a few years ago and read some of my entries. OMG! The things that I thought were so important back when I was 12 or 13! If kids could only see into the future, they'd realize how insignificant some of the "end of the world" things are. My little pink diary had entries about some 7th grade boy whom I was crushing all over and who ignored me completely for some blonde tramp girl (at least, in my mind she was) and besides, she was too tall for him! There was the infamous "accidental" running into boys that my friends and I were interested in, "Oh! YOU live in this neighborhood? I never knew that" Geeze, we were like stalkers - run, save yourselves, those pink diary girls are coming!!!! LOL You just have to laugh at yourself sometimes to maintain some level of sanity. Then there were those real secret entries, like the forbidden list of who liked who or who kissed who, the information in which could completely paralize the entire middle school should it fall into the wrong hands! National Security had nothing on us! We had pink diaries with keys! Oh, it was a fun, sometimes pathetic, look into the past, remembering friends I've not seen in years and chuckling at all the silliness.
Well, I can't guarantee that this blog will be nearly as enthralling as my old pink diary was, nor do I know if anybody will want to read what's in it, but I hear that keeping one is fun and good therapy, so I'll give it a try. I was curious, just wondering =:)
